dripping dual gauge

I took my 78 Midget for a 100 mile trip today, and at the end of it (back home) 
discovered a small puddle of oil on the floor below the oil / water gauge.  A 
quick peek behind the dash confirmed that the gauge had been dripping.  I will 
be pulling the gauge out and re-doing the oil tube connection.  Other than just 
making sure everything is snug, is there anything I should be looking for?
