Been messing with a single HS2 SU on my 948 bugeye for the last month. Using a Morris Minor aluminum manifold. Finally have the correct needle and dampener spring. It was slowly dieing on me when idling but that is because it was too rich. It idles all day long now. Still has ok power. Been keeping an eye on the spark plugs to see if I have the air-fuel mixture set ok. Plugs 2 and 3 are a nice dark brown paper bag color. Plugs 1 and 4 are a light grey color. Possible lean? This is very odd. I have the little heater coolant tube near cylinder 4 hooked up to the top radiator tube. |
