Little Austin Powerless is now completely stripped down and spread all over
northern California. The motor is at the machine shop, the suspension is at
the spring shop getting powder coated, the shell is at the media blaster
getting stripped and primered, the chrome is at the chromer, and the needed
parts are on the boat from England. All I have left is a handful of brake and
other bits to clean and paint.
Thanks to Paul A. I at least have the finished transmission to stare at while
I wait for all the rest to come home. I drove it up until last month when I
started stripping it down, and expect to start re-assembly by the end of this
month. As Frank proves practically weekly, this stuff doesn't have to take
forever if you just decide that you will do a little something absolutely
every night without fail.
I finally completely lost my mind and decided to join the club of LBC owners
who will never get back what they put into a car. Since I decided to keep the
car as a driver, I guess I'll just have to take out my money in trade by
driving the heck out of it for a few years.
