Pour a little gas or lighter fluid inside the tire, toss in a match and then
put the fire out. The tire will now be firmly on the rim. While I have
never done this I have seen it done from a safe distance and it worked
great.
Crash
Howdy all,
With apologies to those still in snowbound areas, it is now springtime in
Texas. This is my first spring as a homeowner, and I'm trying to do the
yardwork. My wheelbarrow has been sitting all winter, and the tire went
flat, and broke loose from the rim. It's a tubeless tire, and for the life
of me I cannot get it re-inflated. What is the magic trick to getting the
tire to reseat and take air? I tried wrapping a rope around the tire to
compress it, but that didn't seem to work. I figured I'd defer to the
collective wisdom of the list for hints on how to solve this problem. Any
help is appreciated!
