"Balance tube"....decent idle and low speed
running as I understand it but it's position
with respect to each port within the intake
manifold interferes with higher flow velocities. Thus, the Vizard guide to 
"proper" machining of same.

Maniflow makes a replacement with a smaller balance tube and repositions same
in relation to both ports which according
to flowbench tests, obviates the foregoing.
