Electrians use them on house wires sometimes. I had a book and used the numbers on a lot of my cars plug wires. When I ran out of single digets, I started with 21, 22, 23, 24 on a Sprite. You can use a single 1/4" size stick on number or peel the whole roll and wrap it around the wire. I also number the dizzy cap with the single numbers, they stick good, hold up under the bonnet.
