Had a nice "bench racing" dinner with the Caldwells
and 2 other racing friends/spouses last night. One of
the guys has some great quirky cars, including a Simca
Bertone coupe like this -

On a sad note - my 7 year old (baseball nut and stat
freak like his old man) got a Topps 2004 baseball card
set for Christmas. Today he was sorting the cards
very earnestly. Set aside were Jason Giambi and Sammy
Sosa (accused, not yet convicted!). When I asked why,
he said "that's the steroid pile, their statistics
don't count". Glad he sees it that way, sorry it has
to be out there for a 7 yr old to see in the first
place.
