Hello Lester,
since no one else has answered... i'll jump in with my
(uninformed) opinion and thoughts.....
the external adjusting screws can be used to set the distance
the pedals are from your body.... i.e. seperately from your
relationship to the steering wheel, as with just adjusting the
seat..... make yourself comfortable if you have particularly
long legs, and short arms, or whatever......
the rod length can be used to THEN adjust for pedal "feel"..
i.e. the distance the pedal moves before anything happens. the
shorter the rod, the "tighter" your brakes feel, all other
things being equal. . the bentley manual cautions that the
pedal should move 5/16" before anything happens, (the rod
moving 5 /32" if i recall, without looking it up) otherwise
there could ALWAYS be pressure on the system?!
