Hi: One of the biggest factors in the extended mileage modern engines are making (particularly in cylinder bore life) is the much more precise fuel metering from fuel injection and electronic controls. Less fuel washdown of the cylinder bore from too rich mixtures means better cylinder wall lubrication and longer bore life. TuTone |
