I have no personal experience with the longevity of the 948, but the original 1275 in my Midget was rebuilt twice in about 300,000 miles. The one that is in it now has about 60,000 total miles and just under 4,000 on a fresh rebuild. I spent well over a year doing the job on my kitchen table and it leaks no fluids to date, so obviously I did something very wrong. Kate '72 MG Midget |
