On Sprites/Midgets - touche!

Have you thought about a 2nd set of rims for the autocrosses? You could use
the cast-off A008R tyres there and something real sticky the rest of the
time.

I haven't used normal road tyres on a spridget for years now. All my
streetable cars are shod with A032Rs, Dunlop D98J Formula R, or A008RTU
(old). I also have old Hoosier Street TDs that I can drag out for some comp
events (they are *not* suitable for the road!)

I do understand tho', that if you use the car as a daily driver, this might
not be a reasonable strategy :-)

Last normal street tyres I had on a Spridget were Falken FK-07U - I think
175/60R13 -- they are a pretty good road tyre for a wide range of
conditions. While they aren't comp tyres, there are some folks (Peter
Westcott in particular) who have used them in competition. I seem to recall
that Tony Benetto used them on the Marathon Classic Rally in Europe a couple
of years ago (where he had to use non-R spec tyres).

That is Sprites, Mike. I have a Midget. [...]
