From the Wall Street Journal . . . A story about winterizing convertibles (but not what you're thinking) Auto manufactures are designing "new ways to get convertible drivers to drop their tops even as the weather turns chilly." BMW 645Ci - cold weather package with heated steering wheel & seats. Mini Cooper convertible - heated glove box to; ". . .keep your mittens warm while you drive." Lexus SC 430 - "Lap - jets" that automatically direct gusts of warm air to your knees and lap. Mercedes-Benz SLK - "airscarf" - headrests that blow warm air on your neck. ($750) Lap - jets and warm air blowing on your neck. Now that's almost immoral! And, if you have your hands in the glove box while driving your Mini Cooper, the cold air isn't your only problem!! From what I have read recently on the list about some of you, the idea of lap - jets and warm air on your neck isn't new.
