Tires size for wire wheel w/ qtr elliptic springs

I'm converting a Bugeye to a wire wheel setup. Wheels a 4" width so I 
can go up to 165R13. Since the W/W banjo is 1/2 inch narrower each 
side, will 165's clear the suspension on a Bugeye without rubbing? or 
is 155 the widest possible fit?
