It runs down the side channels and sort of shoots under the bonnet lip.
Lots of holes on the bonnet/fender channels will help but....
Seal up the inside of the bonnet trouble spot with tar and drill 3 drain 
holes on the underside near the outer corners and one in the middle.
Not a cure all but it helps.
