Two months ago, the pit bull next door ran into my yard and attacked my
miniature australian shepherd (about the size of a beagle), who was on a
leash. My roommate beat and kicked the dog off my dog (I wasn't home). She
and my dog were okay, but she went next door and gave the owners a stern
warning. When I got home, I also gave the owner a stern warning-- We now
keep a baseball bat by the door, and if I happen to be coming in from work
the next time that dog attacks, my .40 cal Glock will do the talking for me.
If my dog had been hurt that day, that pit bull would have been confiscated
and destroyed by the proper authorities within 24 hours.
I'm an animal lover, and I realize it's more the owner's fault than the
dog's fault, but dogs that attack other dogs (or people) should not be
permitted to exist. Just my opinion.....
