Ring gear install results.. First remove the old ring gear.. dead easy, drill as big a hole as you can in the ring gear and hit with a chisel, worked like a charm. Second, freeze the flywheel and heat the ring gear (My SAAB book says not over 450 F or you may loose temper) until it will "slip right on". PFFFT.. those folks are liars. I heated/ froze that damned thing all day long with the result that i finally did the right thing as recommended by Paul A, and I let the shop do it.. took a BIG torch and a several ton PRESS!! to get that damned thing together. Heat may AS*. Lester .. oh yeah, does the Bugeye rear wiring harness run inside the cabin along the passengers side door?? |
