1275 oil pump cover "CAN"

Hi All, does anyone have a good used oil pump cover "can" for sale for a
few bucks??  Also, what is the drain hole under the oil pump good for??
Seems like the recess would stay dry anyway as long as the oil pump
gasket sealed properly.  I've heard of some folks plugging that hole and
not using the cover can at all......anyone else ever heard of this??
BTW, I think my neighbor's black lab puppy carried off my cover can
during one of her excursions thru my shop...she's prone to do that sort
of thing.  Thanks to all....
