On a totally unrelated subject, does anyone out there know how to keep a dog
from digging?
.
If it were a cat, I'd suggest the old cut off their tail trick, you just cut
it off right behind the ears, but since this is a superior animal (god spelled
backwards) there are other things you might try.
Usually they dig because they are bored. Make sure you are giving her enough
attention and play time.
Sometimes they dig a hole to lay in because they are hot. Does she have a
cool place in the shade in the yard?
I've had some luck in filling the holes with feces (the dog's, not mine), but
having said all that my four have a permanent hole just off my patio and the
rest of the yard looks like a New York City side street.
Good luck.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded
state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war
is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight,
nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable
creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the
exertions
of better men than himself.John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)
