"Overinflated" tires... some caveats here....the suspension and front end parts will be taking more of a beating within any given time frame, all other factors being equal. As to "slippery" in the wet? Perhaps in some respects but........... "hydroplaning" is reduced (all other factors being equal) with increased tire pressure which pushes a more "narrow" footprint more firmly against the surface (which is why the overinflated tire wears first towards the center section, BTW!:).
