Hi Kate,
Just got back from breakfast with the fellows I retired with last summer.
One has a son who lives and works in Elko. I thought so when I saw your
address above, and confirmed it today. His name is Frank Carr. He works for
a mining company there, but will be moving soon to another location. Small
world - that a guy from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan would work in Elko.
From the middle of nowhere to the middle of nowhere I guess.
You mentioned the price of gas. I don't know the price down the road at the
Casino, but the Indian Nation has the best and lowest gas prices in this
area. It is a 30 mile drive so really not worth the effort to go there
usually. No taxes = lower gas price!
