Allow me to ease your mind a bit.  Squirrels are not a vector of rabies, nor
are rats or possums.  I went to a number of seminars on the subject when I
worked as a Washington State Humane Officer.  I have inadvertently watched
Rosie O'Donnel, and suspect that you would be far more likely to contract
rabies from her.
