Is it an original, or an after market? The after market ones are often quite
noisy. Also, you may have developed a leak in a fuel line somewhere. The stock
pumps don't pump continuously, just put out a thump every few seconds, and stop
once a certain pressure is built. But the after market ones just buzz away
regardless of pressure built. If your stock pump is pumping away (i.e. not
building pressure) than you may have a leak somewhere. Perhaps it is pulling in
some air around one of those tight bends the hose has to have to fit on the
pump.
