If you guys are like me and end up getting a tool or two for Christmas or your
birthday, you are probably out of room in your tool boxes. My big 12 drawer
mechanic's boxes have been pretty close to full for years... So I see an ad for
a 3 box setup at HF on sale for $169. I get to thinking, hey, that might just
work. Then I take a ride over there and scope them out. Not the high quality
that I have in my garage but it'll do for what I need right now. I haven't done
any professional wrenching since I was a young guy so I don't need the bullet
proof stuff!
Anyway, I put the handles and wheels on them today. Didn't strip any threads or
shear any bolts even though it is dung-forged tin... The black crinkle paint
didn't even come off on my hands!!! They aren't bad for the price and now I
have 11 extra drawers. The bearings on the drawer slides aren't real smooth and
the metal isn't the thickest but I plan to put the things that I don't use very
often in this box. The heavy stuff will stay in my good box too. All in all,
for the money I am happy with it.
I thought that I would pass it on for those of you who might be interested.
