It seems like most people suggest going with the
e-cllip that comes with the new parts. No wait, I
think more voted for using the spring clip with the
two holes that you put on with the pointy pliers. No
wait, maybe the hole drillers and tappers win out.
I appreciate options. Now when I go out there with my
clips(both types), shims and paper gaskets I will let
the circumstances guide me. I just have a feeling that
I had better charge up the dremel and get in a fresh
supply of nylon zip ties. I guess I had better get
the wife to hide the duct tape, too. Wouln't want to
go that far.
I'll let you know which way the it turns out. But
don't hold your breath on the drilling and tapping. As
sturdy and permanent as it sounds, I KNOW that way is
way past me.:-)
