Subject: MG web page
I was intrigued by your web site and project. One of the first photos
showed you in an NJIT shirt. That got my attention, since I went to
school there. I have two midgets in my yard right now. I had one (73
chrome bumpers) that was running and in decent shape until my son
totaled it in 96. He put six kinks in the frame. I bought junker (74
rubber bumpers) to make one good one out of 2. I live in North Jersey
and have no garage, so I threw together a tarped enclosure to start
stripping the junker. I got frustrated with dealing with the weather
and the cars have just sat for the past 7 years. I really wanted to do
a restoration but just lack the enthusiasum now. I'll be retiring in
another year and relocating and don't plan to take the cars. If you
know anyone interested in doing a restoration project of MG's, let me
know. I'm interested in getting rid of everything I have. I was going
to break them up for parts and sell them on ebay, but that is a hassel.
I just as soon sell everything in one shot. $500 for everything. There
is a set of Webber carbs and manifold that are worth close to that. If
you're interested or know someone who is, email me.
You car looks great, and I'm jealous. The midget was one of the most
fun cars I ever drove. Maybe I'll drop in at the Britfest in May. Good
luck with your project.
