Eric,
Go out and look at your battery. The + post is larger. Even my feeble old
eyes can tell that.
Most battery cable ends are of the universal type with a bolt at one end that
clamps the post and the size only depends on how far down you tighten the
bolt.
Original Brit cable ends were a lead cap sort of affair that were sized for
the different posts.
