Besides virii, there are also many forms of "spyware" out there which are not addressed by virus software. I have found that using Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=about, NFI, etc.) has done wonders for removing anomalies for me. I have also seen this fix problems with Win98SE not shutting down, etc. Amazing the things that it finds... YMMV David Lieb |
