You have it right. The anode is a lump of either stainless steel or iron.
Both of which will probably get ruined. I used 1 tablespoon of Arm & Hammer
washing soda (in the detergent aisle) per gallon of water, a few old
stainless butter knives, and a sears 2/10/50 amp charger on 2 amps.

I just attached the cable ends of the battery charger to the cathode and
anode, but a cable running to them would probably be better.

Kevin Valentine is an expert on this. The FAQ on Ed's website
(www.justbrits.com) is quite informative. Ed has lots of good info on there
for various things.

Me? I'm just a guy dumb enough to stick his hand in a tub of
electricity....

<grin>

Anyone need an exhaust manifold, EGR valve, and catalytic converter for a
1500 midget?

Mike

Ok, I missed something along the way here. I am guessing you are using a
battery charger, plastic tub, and washing soda to clean rusty parts; you put
the neg lead on the part which becomes the cathode, but what do you use as
the anode i.e., where do you clamp the pos terminal?

Just in case I was not the only one not paying attention will someone give
the full rundown on this. We are approaching the season in much of the
country where the only time we get to spend with our LBCs is working on
them.

Thanks,
Sandy Brown
