Any other insomniac / early risers out there for help this weekend?
I am removing the floors of my 60 bugeye. I have drilled out most of the
spot welds already. The sections I haven't done are along the sills on both
sides.
On the sides the floor pans are on the inside of the sills.
In these areas I don't want to risk drilling thru the sill right? I need
the sill intact to spot weld the new pans in. Also do I need to get an
angled drill in order to get at these welds. The stiffening longitudinal
section interferes here with my ancient (made in America) electric drill.
If anyone can help me with tips on getting these sections free I would
appreciate it. I can get an angled drill cheapo from the local cheapo tool
store and just be careful on my depth of cut with the spot weld removal tool
but I am bound to go too deep on several anyway. I was hoping someone had a
better method.
Thanks for you help.
