I recently acquired a 3/4" front anti-sway bar complete with heim-ends from
a friend. When I offered it up (on bended knee, no less!), the bushing
mounts lined up perfectly with the stock 9/16" bar, so I gleefully ripped
out the old bar (along with some superfluous knuckle skin) and started the
new bar into place. I had not gotten so far as to tighten up the brackets
when I realized that the ends of the bar were nowhere near the mountig
points on the wishbones. After a slight rewind, I measured the two bars to
find that the new bar was a good 6" longer from eye to eye than the stock
unit.
Now, it seems apparent to me that this unit was once used on a Spridget. Am
I to assume that there is some neat trick technique for attaching these
(probably involving new braces attached to new wishbones with new ...)?
Should I just look for a happy home for this bar since it is probably too
much for a street car anyway?
