Bugeye bonnet

I am restoring a 60 Bugeye.( first attempt) I have noticed a few cars thru 
the years have the bonnet open toward the front bumper rather than back toward 
the center of the car. I desire to do this. Is there a conversion kit for this? 
Or is it a custom modification? Any advice on how to proceed?
