Hi Chris ...and welcome.

I used to live in Michigan and drive my Bugeye year round (for a
couple years anyway). That was at a time when a Cadillac was the
biggest thing you had to worry about though, They are fine in snow,
except they don't really develop enough heat from the heater to
really keep you very warm... except in the summer...'-)

The car looks decent and original in the photos, but hard to see much
detail. You want to check for rust in the floorpans, A-posts near the
rocker panels (door pillars), and behind each rear wheel. Look from
both inside and out. Bubbles in the paint in those areas are a
telltale sign. A magnet is useful too. I live in Caloifornia now and
there are plenty of rust free cars that you can buy for that kind of
money here. It should be in perfect mechanical condition for that
kind o money too. Brakes and clutch should work very well and the
engine should idle and accelerate smoothly. If it needs work in these
areas, you'll soon have more time or money into it than you might
care to.

This is a great list with some fantastically helpful and supportive
people. You will at times have to put up with a lot of off topic
banter, so you may give you delete key a workout. We are an unusual,
eccentric bunch, but you won't find a better group of people anywhere.
