".....while not designated as a bomber" True, true, Jack. Most (if not all) WW2 fighters U.S.) fulfilled the dual role of "fighter/bomber" at one time or cirumstance. Matter of fact, Adolph went a little overboard on this and tried to have his boys produce the Me-262 as a "bomber", rather than a "fighter"...delayed production and thank God it did. About as bad a decision as opening up a second front and thank God, this operation got delayed as well, 'cause otherwise.......?? Cap'n.
