Hi, Dave...
My electric tach (my gauges are updated...got an alternator, etc.) read
progressively lower above 4k after I
switched over to the PerTronix.
Somethng I noticed by "feel" and sound while driving and sure enough, a
fact
when I compared it to two of my mech's
electric tachs. Now I just picked up this
tach. a couple of weeks prior to switching
over to the PerTronix, so I took the tach
back to Nisonger's with this complaint
and that's what they told me.
Nisonger changed a capacitor (or something like that) to one more
senstive/
compatible with the strength (or
lack of strength, I guess) of the PerTronix
which brought the upper range back to
accuracy. It was almost 1k "slow" at
6.5k.
Now...I am going by what their man told
me....I'm just the owner/driver and in this
respect, only "the messenger"!!
