Jim,
Culling from the many mistakes that I have made in front suspensions, is the
trunion at the top of the kingpin turned 180 degrees out? It looks better
that way until you put a wheel on and see that the camber is way off -- the
top of the wheel is leaning away from the car. This would cause the very
symptoms that you are complaining about. Check the diagrams in the manual,
the end of the kingpin should be inboard of the trunion.
