If you truly bid what the item was worth
TO YOU and got outbid by another who
could not perform, then I don't see a
problem in the seller offering the item
to you for what you bid.
On the other hand, if you got into a bidding war and lost, then you
probably
bid an amount higher than what the item
was truly worth TO YOU and thus, "feel
taken" under the circumstances?
Assuming the seller has a reasonbly
long history, I think a look at this history
would tell the tale?
