The seal also has to seal against the groove, probably the OD of the groove, so
it should also be very smooth. A rough cylinder wall may scratch the piston
over time. I had my calipers gritblasted and powdercoated, and had an awful
time cleaning them out. Took hours. I would not do this again unless I masked
it myself. Also beware that the solid square seal goes down in the bore, and
the C-shaped seal is the dust seal. It took 65 foot pounds torque to remove my
bridge screws (holding the caliper together) but they had self-locking threads.
I have not found a torque spec for this screw.
