I used a standard engine stand and just bolted the square plate to
convenient threaded holes on the side of the block. Your engine stand plate
should have long slotted holes to accommodate different spacings.

Subject: a-series engine stand
hello all.
I am pulling my 1275 and would like to make an engine stand bracket
that
mounts to the side of the block (as seen in the manual). Has anyone
built
one of these? Any links or anyone have one to loan or rent? I will
be
doing some work on the bottom end and need access to the rear of the
engine so my standard rear mount will not work for this job.
Hope you all are having great weather....75 today and my car is in
the
garage :(
