Funny you should mention Cont'l.
Ran into an old high school buddy of mine
today. He's a builder..nice guy.
Eddie asks me what I'm doing these days,
and I explain it to him in terms of retirement from the airline biz.
He says he reads this morning Continental is filing Chapter 11 and
the CEO is explaining why he's got to
lay off 1,500+ employees, while he's
still making something like 11 million
for this past year, including all perks.
Haven't had the opportunity to check
this out....but my gut tells me this is
probably the case.
Sound about right?
