This is for the Misubitchi alternator. There is also one for a GM
alternator. The GM is about 1/2 the size of a Sprite engine and just
looks too big. (IMHO)
Since I wrote the tech tip many moons ago, I have found that a Subaru
alternator also will work, it's about the same diameter as the Sprite
generator and 1/2 as long. It just looks right.
Make sure the alternator you find (if you are junkyarding it) has the
mounting ears 180* apart. The position of the mounting ears will look
very similar to those on your generator. They should point the same way.
