Any Buick Mechanics? NO LBC

My daughter's 1993 Skylark developed a windshield wiper problem today. You can 
move both wipers by hand... Grab one and they both move back and forth. It is 
like they are no longer connected to the wiper motor! Any ideas? The fuse is 
OK, not blown.
