I hadn't paid much attention to that section of the book since my earliest
example is a '65. But I was curious, and when I looked, I saw the same
aftermarket? light there on the passenger side of the dash as on my '67.
( taped up: http://www3.sympatico.ca/robertduquette/marple/ulthm8.htm ) I
guess the intent is to serve as a map light.
Speaking of which, I tried to read a map last night and found that my arms
are no longer long enough to read the small print. I knew I could use
glasses before, but now I know I need them. < sigh > ( Of course, I did
not ask for directions, I just drove to where I thought it was, and happened
to be right. )
