I was told by folks who had their cars in for judging, that there were
judges allowing entrants to take bits from other folks cars, install
them on "their" car long enough to score gold, and then the bits were
returned. Tool kit bits were the exchanged parts. The judges allowed
this to happen!! Isn't part of the challenge of scoring gold, not only
OWNING all your own bits, but having the tenacity to find them all by
your little self, not counting on others?
I foolishly was under the impression that if a car is to be considered a
"gold level" car. It should be a gold level car when it rolls in, and it
still should be one when it rolls out. COMPLETE AND INTACT. Again, I
guess I don't understand the game, never claim I will, and never intend
to play. Again, all the variations between entrants is enough to put me
off of it. I wonder if Biff will ever take his car back for judging? And
Leo has spent years (literally YEARS on his car, oh yeah, you know this)
yet chances are slim for him taking gold first time out.
