Here's my message to Tim at Grass Roots Motorsports and his response.
We certainly have no intention of letting you down. In fact, our very first
project car for Classic Autosport will be a 1971 MG Midget. We plan on
restoring it and then updating it. We are going to comparison test it against
an early Miata. The goal of the project is to keep the Midget completely
streetable, yet kick a Miata's butt!
The goal is not to ruin British Car, but to add 20 pages, make the entire
magazine color and have a bunch of fun with it. While we plan to add some
vintage racing, we completely understand that most of the readers are
retorers and street drivers. I too like to build cars for the street and am
tired of always having to write about racing foro Grassroots Motorsports. We
are looking to diversify, not turn British Car into Grassroots for older
cars. Gary Anderson will stay on as editor.

Tim,
There's been a lot of concern expressed on the Spridget mailing list
about the new take over of British Car magazine. Most have posted
concern that the magazine will forsake the drivers and so called normal
people (British car owners, normal? HA!) that love the magazine as it
is. I spoke on the defense of you folks and feel that you will maintain
what they like and add more motorsports and such without compromising
anything. Don't let me down.
Dave
