I just did a set of calipers today.
Popped out the pistons with air, glass beaded and primed them.
These particular calipers had the knurled threads. I always just loctite
them back together. I have been doing this for years and never had one
come loose.
Separating the halves, requires a small flat seal which is readily
available but it does NOT come in the kit.
Some listers/suppliers carry pistons at remarkably reasonable prices.
I mean you can totally rebuild a caliper for around $20.
