My friend and LBC car guru would get an infestation of fleas in his huge
shop/storage facility whenever the railroad that runs next to his place comes
by and cuts the weeds outside. His solution was to take a shallow dish, fill
it with water and detergent, then train a bright light onto it. For some
reason the fleas would come to it and jump into the detergent water in
droves. I don't remember whether the light was a particular color or not,
but I seem to remember it was just a bright white light. And all those dead
fleas in and around the dish.
