What i can tell you is this..

the purpose of the oil cooler is to COOL the oil. if you mount it in
front/back of the radiator, youll either transfer heat to/from either and
loose the efficiency of both. the whole idea is to have fresh cool air to
both. if you need, add a oil thermostatic valve to the cooler for cool
weather use. i have mine on the side where the vent comes in for the
heater/blower fan. makes more sense.
