Hey, guys-
I read something about this somewhere
not too long ago stating to keep the axle
shafts where they came from and not
to exert a reverse twist upon them by
changing them around, unless the car
happens to be new which would be an
unlikely set of circumstances.
Had more to do as I recall with forces
at the hub end though I can sure understand their splined ends taking a
set with respect to differential gears....
makes sense. I would expect an increase
in noise were they changed around on
this point, alone, assuming they'd gone
more than a few thousand miles.
Come to think of it, I probably read it
here or the yahoo midgetsprite or bugeye
list. I'll ponder this a bit....maybe I can
remember the source. In any event, plenty
of places to call for pro help on such a
decision! :)
