I quizzed Mr. Simpson at Practical Classics magazine a few months ago and he
recommended putting the switch on the ground terminal,wether that be a pos or
neg one. In other words, not on the "hot" terminal. Of course, either one
would kill the power, and, from an electrical point of view, it wouldn't make
any difference. His rational was that if you put it on the hot terminal there
would be a point where sparks would fly if a connection to ground were made.
Breaking the ground seems safer. I have a positive ground Bugeye and I just
got out the file and made the hole bigger and slid it on the pos/ground
