I put in an OP gague from wally world (Made In Korea $6.97 american). Cold
reading was 75psi, let it run in the driveway, hot reading 50psi at 4000rpm,
25psi at 2500rpm, then... the needle rested on the stop at idle. The old
Smiths gague at least registered 10psi. I would have take Bobbie MG out for
a road test for a more accurate test but I had too many brews for a safe
drive. I think I will try the spring stacking/ compressing trick tomorrow. I
have ordered a new spring, ball, and gaskets from MM. That will be next.
For now no Speed Racer imitations for me and Bobbie.
